The Day Everyone Is Waiting For!!! Last APPG Exam By NTRUHS!!!

At last it came, the big day is just 24 hrs away :)
All the hard work and the hours of turmoil , the moments of happiness and joy we left for the sake of a goal is going to take a shape by tomorrow.
This is it. At this moment I would like you to go through some confident self talk and a bit of joyful walk.This fills energy and lifts up your spirits.
As usual I come up with some bits of advice for you. Hope this helps.
According to me this increases Minimum 5 - 10 marks if properly followed!!
Cheers, now lets get to the talk.

Today :

Read any notes you made or some rapid reviews. Do not, Please do not read anything new and trouble your hippocampus for remembering it.If possible do APPG 2010 paper. Do not party today and eat a heavy meal, keep your joys and parties for tomorrow afternoon. Drink plenty of water. Sleep early, say at 11. Do not study on this day till 2 or 3 in the night and over exhaust yourself, remember its your full mental potential that is needed in the exam, not just your mind working and conscious.

On the day :

Wake up early, not again before 5am. Do not wake up and rush to your books. Relax. Its the big day out there. DO some self talking and instill confidence in yourself.Do finish your daily chores and eat a break fast thats light(I prefer fruits and glucose). check your hall ticket and pens. Start to the center by around 8:30 or so or depending upon your distance but make sure you will reach with plenty of time in hand. Dont rush yourself. Drive safe. Pray god before you leave him.

The Exam Proper - Questions and Time :

Be serious when you write the exam, be goal directed and concentrate, everything else lasts only 3 hours but the result - A lifetime - So dont worry about the room or fans or something else, even a girl/boy thats attracting you near by :)
Think of the exam and nothing else.

You have worked for an year and are being tested with 200 questions in 3 hour.
So you have a minute for each question-lets say. So the first thing to win is time management.Taking 5 min for every question is not so good.

If you happen to see tough questions as soon as you start the paper , dont lose your confidence and get disheartened. A tough paper is tough for everyone ( your chances of getting a good rank are high if the paper is tough , rather than much easy !! )

Be smart.Don't just read the question - understand it. If you find the question lengthy read the last line of the question first.Know what's being asked.
Some more times see through the options.Are they looking familiar? When you read the question, identify key words. They guide you towards the answer. For example, look for somethings like incorrect, Odd one out, All except. They trap you.

Eliminating options is the key. Try maximizing your chances. Don't just make a wild guess.

When you are very sure of an option at the first site, Mark it in the question paper itself, now read the remaining options. Found correct, thats ok now mark it on the answer sheet. Be very careful while marking because you are marking with a pen. No chance of erasing and marking again :(

Most people who failed are those who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

Stunning Win For The Irish Over England

One of the great joys in Cricket is that it gives you so much pleasure to watch. Today it was one of the rarest and prettiest moments the world of cricket has ever witnessed - Cricketing movements that are indelibly imprinted in everyone's heart.
A memorable day in the history of world cup and a day that is golden in the history of IRISH cricket.
A true definition of stunning , breath taking and memorable performance by the Irish.
When England started to bat , they thought it was just one more routine day where a big team is playing a small one.They began batting the usual style. They made a huge 327 and at the end were happy because they made a decent total that was never chased before in world cup.
At one stage when the fifth wicket was down, England thought it was another cake walk. As Kevin O'Brien walked into the ground England never dreamed of the coming Tsunami of runs, They never imagined that an Irish batsman can make the fastest century in world cup, the opposition can make over 200 runs in just 25 overs or that
a small team like Ireland could chase a mammoth 327 against a team that beat australia in australia.
With Mooney and Cussack helping him, Kevin O' Brien made history, he made the impossible seem possible. Thumping in style he made everyone cry with joy as he walked back to the pavilion as victory seemed almost possible. Nothing more is expected from you than to deliver when it matters and O' Brien just did that. He played the best innings of his life and his efforts luckily produced fruit.I personally also praise Alex Cussack for having sacrificed his wicket to keep the match lively.Kudos Cussack.
If you ever want to watch a thrilling match, I just prefer this !!

Last few days before PG..What now ??

I may not be the best ranker for the coming entrance but surely I know that I will give my best. Over the past few encounters many have asked me how to prepare and how to execute? This is a short reply for some useful questions.

Take what you think is useful.
Give your suggestions, comment and make it rich and useful. This post is really "something useful" if it helps someone somewhere score a bit more than what they can :) cheers :) :)

1) What should I do this in these last few days?
A) Revise, go for any notes you made, stop reading something new, study memory based facts and data. do some mock tests from prep books. if you have highlighted some points-get to them.

2) How much do I need to score?
A) common yaar. do your best. dont think of how much you need to score. each mark is vital. concentrate on every question.

3)Iam depressed. I cant do it.
A)No NO No. you are not. Say to yourself - you prepared . this is it. there is no point in taking a step back now. Forget everything. Say every morning that you can win this.

4) My preparation is not upto the mark.
A) Oh..Is it so. so what do you wanna do. read harrison thrice and bailey twice and skim through the rest once. Impossible. Or read all those 1 lakh bits and stuff your brain. What everyone can do is study for 12 or 13 hours a day and revise. focus on what is important.

5)What is the best bet that I will lose?
A) well , bet to win. Bet to get into pg and settle in life. Dont think of anything else.

6) I have a lot of questions coming up, I cant sleep well.
A) When you lie down to sleep-say to yourself, I did what i can today. I will take good rest, sleep well and work better tomorrow. shut down your thoughts and sleep.

MINE : As always , as most people say but always almost most people ignore
1) Before the day of exam, donot read anything new, be free , if u can't study some notes.
2) have a good moderate meal, drink plenty of water.
3) have a good night's sleep. If u dont remember all the hardwork u did goes into vain.
4) wake up early and that doesnt mean that you study from 3'o clock in the morning. Keep cool and calm. pray god and check your hall ticket and stationary.start an hour before to the centre.
5) Say to yourself- "I will do it"
